Public land tag is drawn from the special 12% outfitters pool for non-residents.
Successful applicants in drawing will be notified by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish.
Unsuccessful applicants of the public draw will be refunded deposit minus fees or deposits can be extended for the next year’s public draw hunt.
Private Ranch tag is guaranteed (no draw). Send your 50% deposit for confirmation of hunt date.
If you drive to the ranch, a map will be furnished. Only high clearance four-wheel drive vehicles are depending on location extra fuel maybe required.
Due to the primitive nature of some ranches, electricity and phone service may be unavailable. We have limited success with our cellular phones, so proper arrangements with office/family should be made. Emergency calls should be made to the headquarters in Las Vegas NM, the staff will then relay the message to you as soon as possible.
Although the hunting terrain is gentle to moderate you should be in good physical condition for all my hunts. This could depend on how successful your hunt may be. Our percentage of success reflects the efforts of each individual hunter. Some of our hunters arrive a few days early to shop and explore Santa Fe or Taos, NM. They not only have a great time, but they acclimate to a higher elevation. Remember the ranch sits at 10,000 feet above sea level.
No one under 18 years of age may hunt with a firearm without completing a hunter’s education course. Certificates honored from other states. Person must carry certificate while hunting.
